It is alleged that no agreement could be reached in the initial talks with Manchester United star Scott McTominay, who is on the agenda of Galatasaray as they continue their search for a midfield transfer.
According to the report in Sabah, the new head of football operations, İbrahim Hatipoğlu, and football director Cenk Ergün, who left the yellow-red team's training camp in Austria, flew to England. The duo met with both the player's representative and Manchester United.
GALATASARAY PUTS TRANSFER ON HOLD
The Scottish midfielder's representative told Hatipoğlu and Ergün that they were expecting an annual salary close to 10 million Euros from Galatasaray. While the yellow-reds, who asked for a discount from McTominay, have put the transfer on hold, they have begun evaluating alternative names.
İbrahim Hatipoğlu and Cenk Ergün returned to the Austria camp after the meeting. It was stated that the duo would hold a transfer summit with head coach Okan Buruk, and that McTominay's situation would also be brought to the agenda during the three-way meeting.
