Galatasaray reacts to referees while match is ongoing

In the 21st week of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League held at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center, Galatasaray MCT Technic hosted Türk Telekom. At the beginning of the second half, Galatasaray's James Palmer Jr. was ejected from the game after receiving his second unsportsmanlike foul. Immediately after, Galatasaray head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco was disqualified from the match due to his second technical foul. These developments caused tense moments on the sidelines and in the stands.

Increasing their dominance in the third period, the visiting team entered the final quarter with a 76-64 advantage. Despite Galatasaray's efforts in the final section, Türk Telekom maintained their lead in the score and won the match 93-90.

While the match was still ongoing, Galatasaray Sports Club made a harsh post on their social media account directed at Recep Ankaralı, the President of the Central Referee Board of the Turkish Basketball Federation. The statement from the yellow-red club included the words "Recep Ankaralı Resign!". This post caused the reactions to the controversial referee decisions in the match to be reflected on social media as well.
