Galatasaray settles for a draw away at Malmö: Equalizer comes in 90+2

In the 6th week of the UEFA Europa League, Galatasaray faced Swedish side Malmö away from home.

The side to find the goal in the 24th minute of the match played at Eleda Stadium was Malmö.

Erik Botheim met a cross from Larsen with a header to put the ball into the net: 1-0.

Galatasaray's response to this goal came in the 43rd minute. Elias Jelert sent the ball into the net with a strike following a cross from the left wing by Kerem Demirbay, restoring balance to the match.

The first half of the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The yellow-reds took the lead in the 56th minute. Yunus Akgün scored the goal that brought the score to 2-1 following a pass from Dries Mertens.

A goal scored by Galatasaray in the 76th minute through Michy Batshuayi was disallowed due to offside.

Malmö equalized in the 90+2nd minute with a goal scored by Sergio Pena. There were no further goals in the remainder of the match, and the game finished in a 2-2 draw.

Galatasaray, which recorded its second consecutive draw in the Europa League, increased its points to 12, while Malmö rose to 4 points with this result.

In the 7th week of the Europa League, Galatasaray will host Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv at home, while Malmö will host Twente.
