Galatasaray will face one of Germany's strong teams, Eintracht Frankfurt, in their first match of the UEFA Champions League. Manager Okan Buruk made statements regarding Victor Osimhen, who is not in the squad due to injury, at the pre-match press conference. Buruk said, "Osimhen tested himself in training over the last two days, but we saw that he is not in a condition to play. We did not include him in the squad because he would not be able to give 100 percent."
Buruk expressed the excitement of returning to the Champions League and stated that they have built a strong squad to meet the fans' expectations. "We have formed a team that will compete with its rivals in the Champions League. I believe this squad is very ambitious when everything goes well," he said.
Stating that they will face a tough challenge against Frankfurt, Buruk said they have analyzed their opponent and will do their best on the pitch to win. "Both teams like to have possession and have effective players in attack. Individual qualities will determine the result," he said.
Recalling the matches he played against Frankfurt as a footballer in the past, Okan Buruk said, "Being here again is exciting for me. We were the side that advanced in that period; I hope we will be the winners this time as well."
Emphasizing that the desire to win is in Galatasaray's DNA, Buruk stated that they go into every match with the goal of winning. "We have won a lot in the last three years. This is something in Galatasaray's DNA. We will analyze the opponent correctly and determine our game strategy according to our player structure," he concluded.
