Erman Toroğlu's new look becomes a trending topic on social media

The 2024-2025 season in the Süper Lig began with the Galatasaray – Hatayspor match.

The Yellow-Reds started the season with a victory, coming back from a 1-0 deficit with goals from Mauro Icardi (P) and new signing Michy Batshuayi.

Former referee and sports commentator Erman Toroğlu evaluated the match that Galatasaray won 2-1.

Toroğlu commented on Batshuayi, who scored the winning goal for the Yellow-Reds, saying, "I am surprised by the teams that let Batshuayi go. I didn't understand why Fenerbahçe sent him away. Galatasaray was right to sign Batshuayi, and Fenerbahçe made a mistake. The man was the most efficient player of last season. Plus, he is a well-mannered kid. He doesn't sulk when he stays on the bench."

Toroğlu also commented on the penalty awarded to Galatasaray, stating, "It is a clear penalty. There is an uncontrolled challenge from behind on Mauro Icardi. Long-range shots can be misleading."

On the program, Toroğlu said, "I'm looking at Barış Alper Yılmaz. He changed his hair just like me. But I'm not a football player. You should improve your football. You've made your hair look like Icardi's, that's nice. Your football styles have started to resemble each other too. But Icardi isn't the old Icardi anymore either."
