Important announcements regarding the yellow-navy club's new projects were made at the Fenerbahçe High Council Meeting. Vice President Hamdi Akın provided information on both the Maltepe land and the renovation of Ülker Stadium.
LATEST STATUS ON MALTEPE FACILITIES
Speaking about the Maltepe Facilities, Hamdi Akın announced that the tender was awarded to a construction company belonging to the Koç Group. Akın stated, "The tender was conducted with a cost-plus 5 percent profit condition. This 5 percent profit requirement was included at the request of the Ministry of Finance. In fact, the Koç Group had proposed to do it entirely at cost," he said.
One of the most notable topics of the meeting was the renovation project prepared for Fenerbahçe Ülker Stadium. It was announced that the primary goal of the project is to increase the stadium's spectator capacity.
It was also stated that new arrangements will be made to ensure the stadium integrates more with its surroundings and to strengthen social areas.
Hamdi Akın shared the details regarding the stadium project as follows:
"We need to obtain the necessary permits from all relevant institutions—the General Directorate of Highways, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Sports. Our Minister of Youth and Sports also conveyed that they will provide full support for the project. If everything goes as planned, we will begin work in April 2026. The steel construction work will be carried out outside the stadium and kept ready in a warehouse. We will lift the roof with jacks and quickly assemble the new structures."
