Galatasaray's Lucas Torreira responds to departure rumors

Galatasaray's successful midfielder Lucas Torreira has clarified the reports regarding his potential departure ahead of the Atletico Madrid match.

Torreira stated that he has not been able to focus enough on the team recently due to his father's health issues.

Denying the departure rumors, Torreira said, "I have always spoken with my heart and I am here. I haven't been able to focus on the team enough lately due to my father's health problems. I thank everyone who has supported me. It is difficult to be away from my family, but I will stay here and continue to fight," he said.

Furthermore, emphasizing that Galatasaray's goals are the priority and that no player is above the club, Torreira stated the following:

"When I leave here, you will hear it from me; I will say it myself. I will always be here and I will continue to fight by focusing on Galatasaray. This is my duty and I have always worked this way."
