Mauro Icardi reacts to Wanda Nara: 'She has returned to her true self'

Wanda Nara was recently a guest of Susana Gimenez on the Argentine channel Telefe, where she spoke about Mauro Icardi, whom she is in the process of divorcing. The Galatasaray footballer responded to his estranged wife's statements.

'BETRAYAL' ALLEGATION

It was alleged that in 2021, while the star striker was playing for PSG, Icardi and singer China Suarez had become close. It was claimed that the truth came to light thanks to "Nara seeing that her husband had liked a photo of Suarez, even though he did not follow her."

It was stated that after discovering Telegram conversations between China and Icardi, Wanda had decided to give her marriage another chance.

Stating that the problems they experienced began several years ago, the famous presenter said on Susana Gimenez's program, "I will start from the beginning, from the ugliest part. Because of a situation that emerged a few years ago and that everyone knew about, we tried to move our relationship forward, but there were always short circuits. We went back and forth, we fought. There were situations that were very difficult to deal with, and the ghost of that same situation was always in the middle of the marriage."

'ICARDI PAID WHAT HE HAD TO PAY'

Wanda Nara stated, "Before this situation, we had fights like every couple, but I didn't come to Argentina; I dedicated myself 100 percent to my children. I supported him in his career, I left my job. I returned to my home in Milan."

Expressing that they paid a price as a family, the famous presenter said, "Mauro paid what he had to pay, and we all paid a very high price as a family. My children didn't understand why everything was falling apart."

'HE DENIED EVERYTHING'

Stating that Mauro Icardi asked for her forgiveness, Wanda Nara said, "He asked for my forgiveness, he denied everything. We tried to start life as a family again. He always blamed me for all these things. We had ups and downs, but I stood my ground and said; 'I want to be happy, my happiness is my business. I will go to Argentina as much as I need to.' I rebelled and said, 'I will start working'."

'I STARTED THERAPY IN ARGENTINA'

Emphasizing that there were many situations in the relationship that she did not accept, Nara said, "There were many situations that I saw as violence and did not accept. When I came to Argentina, I started therapy. They told me that I was normalizing things that were not good for me."

'HE REMINDS ME OF THE WANDA FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD'

Regarding questions about her relationship with rapper L-Gante, Nara replied, "Everyone, even my whole family, is against us. Even his circle doesn't quite agree. I am older. When they ask me what I see in him, I say; 'My essence.' I saw my essence again; at this moment in my life, I needed to return to my original values. He reminds me of the Wanda from the neighborhood. I would like to be with someone who has these values, I would not be with someone who is a bad person. Having problems doesn't scare me; sometimes it disconnects me from myself because I have too many problems."

'WE ARE NOT PLANNING TO START A FAMILY OR HAVE CHILDREN'

Saying that they have no marriage plans with L-Gante, Wanda Nara said, "I am an adult. We are not planning to have children or start a family; we want to have a good time. He is a person who looks after me today, knows the story, and has been my friend for a long time. He has values that connect me to the Wanda I forgot to be and who I really am. I loved those aspects of him."

Making statements to the Argentine press outlet Ciudad, Galatasaray's star center-forward commented on Wanda Nara, saying, "I took her out of the mud and raised her to an elite level, and now she is back in the mud. She has returned to her roots."
