Rıdvan Dilmen reveals his derby and championship predictions

Derby excitement is set for the 25th week of the Süper Lig. On Monday, February 24, league leaders Galatasaray will host their closest rival, Fenerbahçe.

Evaluating potential scenarios for the highly anticipated derby, commentator Rıdvan Dilmen also revealed his championship prediction.

Speaking on HTSpor, Dilmen issued warnings to Fenerbahçe ahead of the derby. Dilmen said, "Fenerbahçe secured good victories in the Kasımpaşa, Anderlecht, and Alanyaspor matches, but they conceded many chances. If Fenerbahçe gives those same opportunities to Galatasaray, they will capitalize on those attacks."

Stating that Talisca should start on the bench for the derby, Rıdvan Dilmen remarked, "You cannot leave your opponent that open in a derby. Jose Mourinho certainly knows these things, but I will make my warning. Talisca does not have the physical fitness to last 90 minutes in a derby. If I were in charge, I would have him sit on the bench."

Outlining the possible outcomes for the derby, Rıdvan Dilmen said, "If Galatasaray beats Rizespor and Fenerbahçe, they could effectively end the league race. After that point, a 9-point gap and the head-to-head goal difference would be impossible to overcome."

Reiterating his claim, the famous commentator suggested that if Galatasaray wins both matches, they will have a 90 percent chance of becoming champions.

Stating that Galatasaray will not be the same as they were in last season's derby at RAMS Park or the AZ Alkmaar match, Rıdvan Dilmen said, "Galatasaray has become much stronger. They have made very serious additions to their squad."
