Saadettin Saran's inner circle... 'He is definitely not considering resigning'

Multiple operations have been carried out since October 8 as part of a drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting celebrities. It was stated that within the scope of the investigation, statements were taken from numerous well-known individuals, and blood and hair samples were obtained from the suspects.

Information was shared that there have also been arrests within the scope of the investigation.

FORENSIC MEDICINE REPORT ENTERED THE FILE

One of the notable points in the investigation file was the Council of Forensic Medicine report regarding Sadettin Saran. The report noted that the cocaine test came back positive in the examination of Saran's hair sample.

In the same report, it was stated that test results for blood, urine, and nail samples were negative. It was reported that the prepared report has been sent to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

İsmail Saymaz: “HE WAS NOT SUMMONED TO TESTIFY”

Journalist İsmail Saymaz shared the information he obtained during a program he attended on Halk TV, stating that he had spoken with Sadettin Saran's inner circle.

According to Saymaz, Saran has not been summoned by the prosecutor to give a statement, and his inner circle does not expect such an invitation. The same sources stated that the allegation of cocaine use is “completely denied” and that lawyers will object to the Forensic Medicine report.

According to the information shared by Saymaz, Sadettin Saran's inner circle also denied the resignation rumors. Sources shared the information that “resignation is definitely not on the agenda.”

Furthermore, it was stated that Saran is expected to make a public statement during the day.

HIS STATEMENT TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE HAS EMERGED

The statements of Fenerbahçe Sports Club President and businessman Sadettin Saran, who gave a statement to the prosecutor's office over the weekend as part of the drug investigation, were also included in the file.

In his statement, Saran said, “I met Ela Rümeysa Cebeci three years ago when she messaged me. I have never used any narcotic substances with her.”

Saran also stated that he was slandered during the Fenerbahçe presidential election process, that he was given “organic sedatives” during this period, that he used these substances, and that he did not think these products contained any narcotic active ingredients.

Saran gave the following response to the question regarding the detection of narcotic substances in his house in Assos:

“The first test on the substances found in my house in Assos may have come back positive, but we request that the criminal report be awaited. Many parties attended by numerous people are held at the villa in Assos.”
