Following the 6.2 magnitude earthquake with its epicenter in Silivri, Istanbul, there was curiosity about whether a break would be taken in Super Lig matches.
WILL THE MATCHES BE POSTPONED?
Mecnun Otyakmaz, who was appointed as the Turkish Football Federation's National Team Supervisor, announced that the matches will continue as planned and that there will be no postponement.
Otyakmaz, who shared a message of well wishes, stated the following:
"It seems like there is such uncertainty, but we have no such decision. Our leagues will continue as planned. If something extraordinary happens or if a recommendation comes from the provincial security board, we will evaluate it separately. We are currently continuing with our schedule. Get well soon to our country and our city. It really saddened us that it happened on such a day. Thank God it was a holiday, and the children were on the streets."
