Gaziantep FK officially announces İsmet Taşdemir

Gaziantep FK, competing in the Süper Lig, has appointed İsmet Taşdemir to the head coaching position. Following his playing career, Taşdemir has also achieved significant success as a manager. He led Ankaragücü from the 2nd League to the 1st League in the 2016-2017 season and achieved the same success with Bodrum FK, moving them up to the next division.

Most recently, he drew attention by leading Kocaelispor to the 1st League championship in the 2024-2025 season, securing their promotion to the Süper Lig.

Gaziantep FK announced that it has signed a 1+1 year contract with Taşdemir. In a statement released by the club, it was stated: "Our Gaziantep Football Club has signed an official 1+1 year contract with Head Coach İsmet Taşdemir." Club President Memik Yılmaz and Vice President Halil Uğur also attended the signing ceremony.

Taşdemir stated that he will work for the success of the red-and-black team.

Gaziantep FK welcomed its new head coach and expressed its hope that Taşdemir will achieve great success under the club.
