Gençlerbirliği calls for an extraordinary general assembly

Kaynar made statements regarding the decision for an extraordinary general assembly and the commissions established within the board of directors.

Stating that the board of directors met again today, Kaynar said, "The board of directors has decided to hold an extraordinary general assembly by majority vote. The first meeting will be held on July 18. If a quorum is not reached, the general assembly will be held on July 25."

Stating that they established transfer, executive, sponsorship, and financial discipline commissions at the board meeting held yesterday, Kaynar emphasized that the decisions taken were accepted with the sufficient number of members and majority vote in accordance with the bylaws, adding, "There are 5 people on the transfer committee, and contracts will be made with the approval of 3 people. The board of directors consists of 24 people; it is impossible for everyone to gather at once. We have established an executive committee to make decisions in urgent situations.

Sponsorship agreements are very important to us. There is no such situation right now, but since the president has sole signatory authority, we have established a sponsorship and advertising commission. Decisions will be made by majority vote there as well. We also established a financial discipline commission that will start from January 17 to examine the club's finances and work on what measures can be taken for a more transparent economic management. We have established four commissions. These four commissions were established with the consultation of the Gençlerbirliği board of directors, with the aim of being managed by decisions taken all together," he said.

Expressing that they also evaluated the club's financial situation at the board meeting, Kaynar drew attention to the importance of creating resources before the new season and noted the following:

"We held a board meeting at the beginning of this week, on Monday. At this meeting, the serious proposals of the board members were not evaluated by the president. In the past, during the İlhan Cavcav era, there would be 50 million liras in the club's coffers. Now we are very far from that. We have an important period ahead of us. I hope that a management will be formed at the extraordinary general assembly that will solve these problems and put 'rainy day funds' back into the club's coffers."
