Gençlerbirliği manager Sinan Kaloğlu drew attention to the manipulation surrounding the pitch at Eryaman Stadium and expressed his hope that matches could be played under healthy conditions.

The red-and-black team's manager Sinan Kaloğlu and sporting director Emrah Yıldız held a press conference at the Beştepe İlhan Cavcav Facilities.

ONE PLAYER OUT FOR THE SEASON DUE TO THE PROBLEM

Gençlerbirliği manager Sinan Kaloğlu alleged that the pitch at Eryaman Stadium was being manipulated, stating: "There are problems with the pitch, and we have been saying this for a long time. An inspection was carried out on the field before the match, but the situation did not change. Our stadium is Eryaman Stadium, and we want to play our matches on our own home ground. The Ankaragücü club has supported us, but one of our players has been ruled out for the season due to the pitch problem. There is no need for manipulation regarding this situation. In general, there are pitch problems in stadiums across Turkey. It is not right to play matches under these conditions without considering the health of the players."

Kaloğlu noted that there were statements claiming the field had been maintained following the Turkish Cup match against Trabzonspor, adding: "Turkish Football Federation officials said the field was playable. They made the decision, and I think the problem is now resolved. However, I do not understand why the intervention was so late. Maintenance was done on the field in a short time; I don't know if such a decision was made because two matches could not be played back-to-back."

When asked what they would do if the TFF decided that Gençlerbirliği could not play matches at Eryaman Stadium, Kaloğlu replied: "We would file our objections. We are also a team in the play-off race, and we would like to see our fans in our own stadium. The condition of the field will be a deciding factor for both teams. We will wait and see."

Sinan Kaloğlu also stated that his players were experiencing financial problems and that they had to encourage them to take the field for the Teksüt Bandırmaspor match. He emphasized that his team has a low budget but has not wavered from its goals. Sporting director Emrah Yıldız stated that the maintenance of the field is carried out by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and that the problem has been ongoing for years.
