Georgia's star Kvaratskhelia speaks out: 'Our most important match'
Stating that the country will be united during their first Group F match against Turkey at the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024), Georgia's star player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia said they want to make a good start to the tournament by winning.

Star footballer Kvaratskhelia, who plays for the Italian team Napoli, made statements regarding the European Championship, where the Georgian National Team will compete for the first time in its history, in an interview with UEFA's website.
STATEMENT ON TURKEY
Emphasizing that participating in the championship was the dream of every Georgian citizen and that they are pleased to have achieved this, Kvaratskhelia said, "We didn't come here just to participate; we want to leave our mark on EURO 2024 and add a new page to history. We are completely focused on the tournament. Everyone in Georgia is waiting for our first match. We are full of emotion. We are preparing as best we can for the match against Turkey, which we see as our most important game. Because we will continue on our path with the spirit we start with. On June 18, we will see Georgia as a whole and we will try to win. I hope the match ends in our favor and we reach our goal. Like every team, our first goal is to pass the group stage and we will do our best to achieve this."

Stating that the team chemistry is at a high level, Kvaratskhelia commented, "We have a squad consisting of experienced and young players. We have become a great team capable of fighting anyone. Guram Kashia is a true captain. He leads us and does everything a real captain should do on and off the pitch. He warns the young players to work hard every day."
Expressing that playing in EURO 2024 will be a great joy for him, Kvaratskhelia said, "I have a huge responsibility due to my role in the team, and I am grateful when my efforts are appreciated. There are many Georgian footballers who could be the best player in the country, but we are trying to be a team, and individual success is less important to us right now. We will experience moments and emotions in the tournament that we will never forget for the rest of our lives."
Turkey and Georgia will face each other in the first match of Group F on Tuesday, June 18, at 18:00 at the BVB Stadium in Dortmund, Germany.
