Good news for fans from Dursun Özbek regarding the number 8: We will announce it shortly

Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek said that they are continuing their transfer efforts and that they will announce the reinforcement to be made for the number 8 position as soon as possible. 

Özbek made statements to members of the press following the commemoration held at the graveside of Ali Sami Yen, the founder, first president, and one of the first athletes of the Galatasaray Sports Club, at the Feriköy Cemetery on the 73rd anniversary of his passing.

Stating that they are focused on the Turkcell Super Cup match they will play against Beşiktaş on Saturday, August 3, Özbek noted the following:

"The transfer season is ongoing. We have identified deficiencies together with our coach. We have addressed some of them, and we will address the rest as soon as possible. Our work is continuing intensively. We have a squad that has become champion. We have a valuable coach who has been champion for 2 consecutive seasons. These are Galatasaray's greatest strengths. As a result of our efforts, our transfers to the needed positions will continue. The number 8 is an important area we need to strengthen. We are working extremely hard. Hopefully, we will give the news to our fans shortly."

Dursun Özbek gave the following response to a question regarding the Paris 2024 Olympic Games:

"I congratulate all our athletes participating in the Olympics. I kiss all the athletes who joined the delegation on their eyes; they are our source of pride. Being there is very important. We also had a nice victory today. We need to support them wholeheartedly. They are the precious ones of Turkish sports. Especially in 1924, it was Ali Sami Yen who took the team to the Olympics. It is very important that it coincides with such a period. Therefore, I think everyone should encourage the athletes there."
