The draw, held at the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) facilities in Riva, was attended by federation officials and club representatives.
Speaking before the draw, TFF Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz stated that the Ziraat Turkish Cup makes a significant contribution to the brand value of Turkish football and noted the following:
"The marathon continues in this cup, which embraces Turkey and allows teams from amateur and professional leagues to face each other. We have reached the group stage of the Ziraat Turkish Cup, one of the deep-rooted organizations of Turkish football. Our goal is to make our league a prominent force in Europe. We started with 155 teams in this cup, which is almost as old as the Süper Lig, and we are continuing with 24 teams. We need to open a separate parenthesis for Fenerbahçe. Since there is no board decision that has reached us, we are continuing with our routine. We have adapted the Swiss system from the Champions League to the cup. The qualifiers were played as single-leg matches. The final stages will also be played as single-leg matches. I wish success to all our teams that will compete in the cup."
As a result of the draw in the Ziraat Turkish Cup, the groups were formed as follows:
