Hakan Çalhanoğlu has announced that he rejected offers from Saudi Arabia. In a statement to Sportmediaset regarding his departure from Milan, the national footballer said, "Everyone thinks I left for economic reasons, but money isn't everything. The most important thing for me is to feel important, and I feel that way here."
Stating that he respected his club's decision when evaluating the offers from Saudi Arabia, Çalhanoğlu said, "It is true that offers came in. However, I decided not to leave Inter. When these offers arrived, I told the club, 'You decide.' But because I love Inter, I decided not to leave."
