Halil Umut Meler assigned to UEFA Europa League play-off second leg

FIFA-badged Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler will officiate in the UEFA Europa League play-off round. Meler will blow the whistle for the second leg match between Swiss side Thun and Polish team Lech Poznan.

According to UEFA's announcement, the match will be played on Thursday, August 27, in the Swiss city of Thun. Before the match, which will start at 21:00 TSI, Lech Poznan had won the first leg of the tie 7-0.

Halil Umut Meler will be assisted in the match by İbrahim Çağlar Uyarcan and Abdullah Özkara. Cihan Aydın will serve as the fourth official.

The Video Assistant Referee for the match will be Daniele Chiffi from the Italian Football Federation. Onur Özütoprak will assist Chiffi in the VAR team.
