Halil Umut Meler, who was punched by MKE Ankaragücü Club President Faruk Koca at the end of the match in the 15th week of the Trendyol Super League, stated that there are no issues regarding his health and that the necessary statements have already been made.
After being discharged from Acıbadem Ankara Hospital and traveling to İzmir by road, Meler was welcomed with flowers by Selçuk Mayor Filiz Ceritoğlu Sengel, his relatives, and fellow referees at the entrance of the Pamucak Holiday Site on Pamucak Mevkii Street in the Selçuk district, where his home is located.
When asked by journalists about his health as he walked to his house, Meler said, "My health is good, there are no problems, the doctors have already made the necessary statements. Thank you. I want to go home, thank you."
When asked, "Will you continue refereeing?" Meler replied, "There is no situation at the moment, I just want to go home."
Walking toward his house accompanied by members of the press, Meler greeted those who came to welcome him and entered his home after embracing his father, Bülent Meler.
