Hami Mandıralı, the legendary goalscorer of the burgundy-blues, used harsh words regarding the transfer process of Abdülkadir Ömür to Hull City. Speaking on the Karadeniz Fırtınası YouTube channel, Mandıralı criticized Ömür.

Stating that he heard reports that Abdülkadir Ömür told Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan, "I won't go to that team, and I won't wear this jersey again," Hami Mandıralı said the following:

How can the native sons of Trabzon, who play for a team like Trabzonspor and wear the Trabzonspor jersey, say such things? I couldn't say it, my friends couldn't say it. Stating that he suffered a lot to wear the Trabzonspor jersey during his playing days, Hami Mandıralı said, "For this team, for this jersey, I was put under anesthesia 11 times and underwent surgery. It is not that easy. I paid the price to wear that jersey. I am in love with that jersey because Trabzonspor gave me an identity, gave me the joy of living, and peace. I live with that identity.
