Harsh criticism from Galatasaray to the TFF: 'Justice must be served'

Galatasaray has criticized the TFF for making inconsistent decisions and called for justice.

In a statement released by Galatasaray, it was noted that the TFF has been making contradictory decisions since taking office, stating, “Saying on the first day they were elected that club presidents would not be referred to the PFDK (Professional Football Disciplinary Board) and then starting to rain down penalties, failing to take a clear stance on the issue of foreign referees, and the statements made 1 hour before our critical match, all lead to questioning the federation's credibility.”

The statement also emphasized that the TFF's leaking of an invitation to the press before a critical match without obtaining Galatasaray's approval was a sign of insincerity.

THREE QUESTIONS FROM GALATASARAY TO THE TFF

Galatasaray posed three clear questions to the TFF:

1. Have the license and visa procedures for the referees who will officiate in the 2024-2025 season been completed?

2. Is there a foreign referee included in the Top Class Referee Squad List announced on January 2, 2025?

3. According to the MHK (Central Referee Board) Instruction, has participation in the courses required to determine the referees who can officiate in matches been ensured?

The yellow-red club argued that referee appointments made without answering these questions are biased, sending the message that, “Through such organizations, attempts are being made to place obstacles in front of Galatasaray.”

'JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED, THE GOOD WILL WIN!'

Galatasaray also called on its fans not to fall for provocations and to spend their energy supporting the team. Finally, sending a harsh message to the TFF, Galatasaray concluded its statement with the words, “Stop dragging Turkish football into further chaos. Do not be the federation of one club; ensure justice for all clubs.”
