Harsh criticism from Selçuk İnan to Cihan Aydın: 'I know he doesn't like me'

Kocaelispor manager Selçuk İnan shared his reaction to the refereeing decisions following the Konyaspor match with the public. Speaking to members of the press after the match, İnan expressed his discomfort with the decisions made.

Speaking about the red card he received during the match, Selçuk İnan said, "The Kocaelispor community is a great community; you cannot drag it down this much. You cannot trivialize it. That is why I am making this statement. No one knows why I received a red card, and I don't know either. I only received a red card for saying to the referee, 'Sir, I swear this is not a penalty,'" he stated.

'I DO NOT LIKE THIS REFEREE'

İnan continued his remarks with the following words:

"I do not like this referee, I want to say this directly. I know that he does not like me and that he hates me. I want to tell the Federation this: we are human and we have feelings. I have said before that I know this referee hates me; people can have these feelings. He may not like me. I have accepted this. Knowing this, do not assign this referee to our matches. If this referee comes again, I will ask for permission from the management and say that I do not want to be on the sidelines. I am saying what is on my mind. I do not like him either."

Bringing the injustices they experienced throughout the match to the agenda, the young manager said, "Since the beginning of the season, there have been matches where we have been very upset. I am only after what is fair. I put in a lot of effort, I have dreams, but if you direct what you want in the way you want, my efforts go to waste and I will not accept this. I will not allow this. No matter what you do, I will defend the rights of the team. It is a shame, it is not right. So many people are putting in effort. Kocaelispor is a very big club, we are one of the best teams in the league. You cannot ignore us this much. We will not remain silent about this," he said.

Selçuk İnan stated that he generally supports Turkish referees but asked for sensitivity regarding certain individuals. "I love Turkish referees very much, I support them, but there are some people, they are blatant. Please, let the federation officials be careful about this matter. This referee came again a week ago. The same referee twice, two home games in a row. I don't know why he was sent. I am expecting him for the Başakşehir match too. If he comes, we will talk to our president and say that we do not want to be on the sidelines. The Kocaelispor community is not ownerless. Please be careful from now on. There was not a single decision in our favor; we are not saying let positions that are not penalties be given in our favor, but having this many decisions against us is now thought-provoking. I do not want to remain silent. I hope it does not happen again!" he concluded.
