RAMS Başakşehir Football Club criticized the MHK's referee appointments in a statement released after their match against Tümosan Konyaspor. In the statement titled "Turkish Football cannot continue with this MHK," the club expressed their surprise at the appointment of Oğuzhan Çakır as the match referee.
They stated that assigning Çakır, who was injured at the beginning of the season and only officiated his first match of the season in the Kasımpaşa-Fenerbahçe game, to such a challenging match put both the clubs and the MHK itself in a difficult position. Başakşehir emphasized that Çakır did not appear match-ready in today's game and that his errors influenced the outcome of the match.
The statement asserted that the referee appointments under the leadership of MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu do not meet universal refereeing standards and that this incompetence and inconsistency are harming Turkish football, concluding that Gündoğdu should be dismissed from his post immediately.
