In the 6th week of the Trendyol Süper League, Beşiktaş was defeated 3-2 away by Amed Sportif Faaliyetler. Following the match played at Diyarbakır Stadium, Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı made harsh statements regarding the refereeing and the Central Referee Board (MHK).

Stating that he was not speaking only on behalf of Beşiktaş, Adalı argued that football cannot progress with the current MHK structure. The Beşiktaş President said, "As long as the MHK president sits there, unfortunately, we will be [complaining] after every match... And not just us. Perhaps if you held a microphone to the Amed SF executives now, they would complain too."

Continuing his reaction to the referee decisions, Adalı said, "Unfortunately, we have no chance of moving one step forward with this MHK. Whatever penalty they give, let them give it. I am not just speaking for Beşiktaş; I am speaking for all clubs. The same mistakes are being made against everyone."

Reminding that there was no referee agenda during the Europa League match, Adalı made a call to the Turkish Football Federation management. "I hope our federation president finds a solution; otherwise, I am saying this sincerely, this league will not finish this way," said Adalı, continuing his words by saying, "I am emphasizing this. This league will not finish this way. Let everyone know."

Touching on the team's situation after the defeat, Adalı said that the players were tired and did not play well. Stating that they would recover during the international break, Adalı expressed that they expect Beşiktaş to return to its former style of play.
