Speaking to Sports Digitale Editor-in-Chief Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Demiral said, "I was on the field against Al Khaleej at the moment the events were taking place. I just got out of the match. It is very sad to try to harm me over these events. The TFF organizers are the ones who could not manage the organization. It is not me."



Meanwhile, Merih Demiral also lashed out at an account on the social media platform X that criticized him.

Stating that he was in a match at the time the events occurred, Demiral said, "You know that I was in a match at the same time, yet you are putting on these shows for engagement. Damn you all," he said.
