He had taken office 5 days ago: First resignation in the TFF under Hacıosmanoğlu's leadership

The first news of a resignation has come from the new board of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), which held its general assembly for the presidential election on July 18, where İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu was elected.

Lawyer Bayram Saral, who was on Hacıosmanoğlu's list, announced that he has resigned.

In his resignation message, Saral stated, "Due to the conviction I have formed that a management approach based on consultation and transparent collective governance will not be realized, and in order to ensure that this deep disagreement does not harm the TFF institution and its current administration, I hereby announce to the public that I am resigning from my position as a member of the TFF board of directors as of today, and I wish the current president and the board of directors great success."

Bayram Saral's statement is as follows:

"As is known to the football public, during the TFF election process that began on April 2, 2024, and continued until July 18, 2024, as a result of a great struggle for justice with hundreds of club executives and leading stakeholders of Turkish football who aimed to save Turkish football from the chaos it has fallen into, the TFF election on July 18 was won by Mr. İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu, whose board of directors I was also a part of.

During this struggle, our motto was the promise of 'fair, merit-based, equidistant behavior toward everyone, and transparent management with the participation of all board members.'

Due to the conviction I have formed that a management approach based on consultation and transparent collective governance will not be realized, and in order to ensure that this deep disagreement does not harm the TFF institution and its current administration, I hereby announce to the public that I am resigning from my position as a member of the TFF board of directors as of today, and I wish the current president and the board of directors great success.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all club presidents and executives, TFF delegates, and all our colleagues who supported us in our democratic struggle for rights that lasted for approximately 4 months, and I ask for their blessing."
