It has been claimed that Scott McTominay, who plays for Napoli, could leave the team at the end of the season. It was stated that the Scottish midfielder is open to continuing his career back in the English Premier League.

According to a report by Sacha Tavolieri, the 29-year-old footballer's agent has held preliminary talks with some clubs in this regard. It was also reported that Manchester United and Aston Villa inquired about McTominay's situation during the past summer transfer window.

On the Napoli side, it was stated that the player's salary expectations are complicating contract extension negotiations. It was noted that the Italian club, taking into account McTominay's desire to return to England, has set its transfer fee expectation in the range of 25-30 million euros.

McTominay transferred from Manchester United to Napoli in the summer of 2024. The Scottish footballer, who has played 82 matches for the Italian representative, has contributed 27 goals and 10 assists. The experienced midfielder also celebrated a championship title with Napoli in 2025.
