Turkey will face Germany in the final on Sunday. Following the match, Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) President Hidayet Türkoğlu made statements.
Türkoğlu said, "Words get stuck in one's throat. Sometimes you really can't find the words to say to these kids. First of all, no matter how much we thank our medical team, and then our team captain Cedi, who selflessly did not want to leave the team alone, and everyone else, in the presence of millions, it is not enough.
We just feel lucky. I would like to express my gratitude and thanks, starting with our President, to the millions who did not leave these kids alone.
These kids deserve everything. They have overwhelmed millions with happiness, and hopefully, they will overwhelm them with another joy on Sunday. It is great that they are here," he said.
