In the 35th week of the Süper Lig, Adana Demirspor managed to defeat İstanbulspor, whom they faced away from home, with a single goal. With this result, Adana Demirspor won for the first time in 4 league matches. Speaking at a press conference after the match, Adana Demirspor manager Hikmet Karaman noted that he was very pleased with the result.

The manager of the Adana representative, Karaman, evaluated the 1-0 victory by saying, "As a team that has been longing for an away win for a long time, the 3 points we earned are gratifying. We found the goal in the 10th minute. We could have increased the lead afterward. However, in the last 15 minutes of the match, İstanbulspor played better than us. If they had been more organized or could have made the final pass, they could have found a goal. We had friends who hadn't played for a long time and hadn't found a chance. Sometimes we lacked the power to make moves, and sometimes we lacked players who could score a second goal in such situations. We are happy to have taken three points. I congratulate coach Osman Zeki Korkmaz and his team. I also thank the referees. They managed a clean match."

Stating that they will host Gaziantep FK in the 36th week of the league, Karaman said, "We have an important match we will play at home next week. Our injured and suspended players will also join us. The competitive environment will increase a bit more. There was a tremendous crowd of fans in the Galatasaray match. Adana Demirspor fans supported us very well before and during the match. We want to make them happy next week with a score we will get through good football."

WE STARTED WITH THE THOUGHT OF VACATION

İstanbulspor manager Osman Zeki Korkmaz, in his statement after the match, expressed that despite being mathematically relegated from the league, they must continue to work without compromising their playing identity until the very last moment.

Reminding that his players displayed an image far from their identity in the 6-0 loss to Alanyaspor last week, Korkmaz noted the following:

"There was a playing identity we displayed until the moment we were mathematically relegated from the league. We were far from that last week. We worked on this for a week. We needed to continue the football identity we have created up to this point. We are happy with the behavior at the end of the 90 minutes today, but we couldn't get the score. We started the match distracted and with the thought of vacation again. If we had only taken the correct defensive position on the goal we conceded, it would have been canceled due to offside. We conceded the goal due to a defensive positioning error. We reacted in the second half. The ball was mostly in the opponent's half. We needed to make more shots, goal attempts, corners, and effective attack-finishing attempts. We had positions, but we needed to be more effective. We need to pull ourselves together in the last 3 weeks. There is a football identity and culture that we have created up to this point. We need to continue this firmly and display it. We cannot allow anyone to go on vacation mentally. The league will end in three weeks, but our work will continue. That's why no one has the right to go on vacation mentally yet. We paid the price for this in the first 15 minutes. This determined the result."
