Hull City signs Senegalese center-back Nobel Mendy for a 23.4 million euro transfer fee

Hull City, the English Premier League side owned by Acun Ilıcalı, has strengthened its defensive line with Senegalese center-back Nobel Mendy.

In a statement released by the club, it was announced that a 5-year contract has been signed with the 21-year-old footballer.

It was noted that the English representative will pay a transfer fee of 23.4 million euros for the young defender. Mendy was most recently playing on loan for the Spanish side Rayo Vallecano.

Nobel Mendy, who appeared in 28 matches for Rayo Vallecano last season, scored two goals. The Senegalese player also achieved success by reaching the UEFA Conference League final with the Spanish team.

Speaking after his transfer, Mendy emphasized his Premier League goal, stating, “I am very happy to be here. I am an athletic player. I have wanted to play in the Premier League since I was a child. This is a great challenge and I am ready for it.”
