Playing his 118th match in the yellow-red jersey against Istanbulspor, Icardi found the back of the net in the 5th minute, recording his 73rd goal in his Galatasaray career.
With this goal, Icardi surpassed Gheorghe Hagi, who scored 72 times in the yellow-red jersey, and earned the title of the highest-scoring foreign player in club history.
