Edin Dzeko, one of the iconic figures of Bosnian football, has announced that he has reached the end of his international career. The veteran striker will bid farewell to the national team jersey following Bosnia and Herzegovina's Nations League match against Sweden tomorrow.

The match, which will be played at Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica, will kick off at 21:45 TSI. Speaking at the press conference held before the match, Dzeko said that wearing the national team jersey was one of the most special feelings of his career.

Stating that Bilino Polje holds a special meaning for both himself and the Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team, Dzeko expressed his desire to leave his farewell match with a victory. The experienced footballer also mentioned that his emotions were running high ahead of the Sweden encounter.

Dzeko noted that his children were not pleased with his decision to retire, adding that he would now take them to the stands to cheer for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sending a message to young footballers, the star player emphasized that talent alone is not enough and that one must work harder every day while pursuing their dreams.

Meanwhile, farewell preparations for Dzeko in Sarajevo have also drawn attention. A large photograph of the footballer wearing his number 11 Bosnia and Herzegovina jersey was hung on Marshal Tito Street in the capital. Some local meatball restaurants in the city also announced that, in honor of Dzeko, they would offer their 10-piece meatball menus as 11 pieces for the same price tomorrow.
