İrfan Can's former coach speaks out: He will leave if the clubs reach an agreement

Mustafa Kaplan, the experienced coach of İrfan Can Kahveci, who has attracted the attention of many European clubs with his performance at Fenerbahçe, has made significant remarks about the player.

Kaplan stated that there is a high probability that İrfan Can, his former student at Gençlerbirliği, will head to Spain at the end of the season.

Speaking to Özgür Sancar on Radyospor, Mustafa Kaplan said, "We have brought very important players to Turkish football. One of them is İrfan Can Kahveci. He has carried Fenerbahçe this season. In all likelihood, he will go abroad at the end of the season if the clubs reach an agreement. His destination would be Spain. Sevilla wants him. But he also has suitors from Italy."

Continuing his remarks about İrfan Can, Kaplan added, "I told him, 'You are the greatest left foot in Turkey since Alex.' But if I were in Fenerbahçe's shoes, I wouldn't look at the money; I wouldn't let İrfan go. I told İrfan, 'If I were you, I would become a legend at Fenerbahçe and retire at Fenerbahçe.' İrfan Can replied, 'Whatever is best, coach.'"

30 GOAL CONTRIBUTIONS IN 45 MATCHES

The contract of İrfan Can Kahveci, whose current market value is listed at 9 million Euros, runs until 2025 with Fenerbahçe.

The national footballer has delivered a stellar performance this season, recording 18 goals and 12 assists in the 45 matches he has played.
