İsmail Kartal: 'I have swelling on my shoulder and head'

Fenerbahçe manager İsmail Kartal addressed the incidents that occurred after the Trabzonspor match.

WE WERE ATTACKED

"We have run over 118 km in our last 3 matches. We have contributed to the country's coefficient, and we are the only Turkish team representing our country. In the first half, we analyzed Trabzonspor well, inch by inch, just as I had planned. We went up 2-0. When the second half started, Serdar Aziz had a groin issue, so we brought on Jayden. Later, we were subjected to a stand attack in a way we never expected.

So many bottles being thrown onto the pitch affected our game. We also got our share. Things hit my head and body, but we did not provoke anyone, we did not lie down on the ground. We even collected the water bottles thrown onto the pitch ourselves. We stayed on the pitch. In this environment, the match came to 2-2. With our substitutions, we won the match 3-2.

WE CONGRATULATED THEM WHEN WE LOST

''After the match, my players started to celebrate. Suddenly, the pitch became chaotic after fans entered the field. The tunnel was chaotic. We lost 3-2 to Trabzonspor in Kadıköy. After that match, their players were tossing their own players in the air and celebrating. It is their most natural right. They did not receive any reaction from our stands. They left the stadium comfortably. Why do these things happen here when we win? I do not understand why we are facing each other so much.

When we lost, we congratulated them, and they did the same, but these things did not happen.

Especially in the 60th minute, an object hit my player's head. The match should have been called off. Despite this, the referees did not end the match. I wish these things had not happened after the match. These should not have happened. Sports is about friendship and camaraderie. We need to be a bit more sensible and calm. We all need to serve Turkish football.

It is a very important victory; we needed this. We played well in the first half."

TRABZONSPOR HAS LOST BEFORE

Trabzonspor has lost here before, and no such reaction was given. There is an aggressive attack against us. We were attacked today. I have experienced something like this for the first time in my life. I wish Trabzonspor success. I congratulate my players for the 3 points we took from such an atmosphere.
