Fenerbahçe manager İsmail Kartal reacted to the decision not to postpone the Super Cup match. Kartal said, "We know that many of Galatasaray's matches were cancelled while they were playing in Europe previously."

SUPER CUP MATCH

Speaking to Sercan Hamzaoğlu from Haber Global, Kartal stated that they had applied many times to have the Super Cup match rescheduled to a later date, but their requests were not accepted.

Reminding that many of Galatasaray's matches were also cancelled when they were competing in European cups, Kartal said, "I do not understand why they are trying to make us play on this date."

Objecting to the match being scheduled 4 days before the Olympiacos match, Kartal said, "I do not understand why there is such insistence on playing this match before the European match."

RESPONDED TO CRITICISM

Kartal said that according to statistics, Fenerbahçe is the team that scores the most goals in Europe and receives the most contributions from substitutes.

Stating that they are experiencing the period in which they have collected the most points and achieved the most victories as of the 30th match in the league, Kartal said, "For the first time in 64 years in the Super Lig, a team has kept a clean sheet in 6 consecutive away matches."

Kartal argued that they have not received enough support from inside and outside the club, saying, "We should have been 8-10 points ahead."

Emphasizing that criticisms should be objective, Kartal said, "Fenerbahçe is a team that has broken historical records. We can be champions."

TRABZONSPOR MATCH INCIDENTS

Kartal said that they were subjected to an attack with foreign objects from the stands during the Trabzonspor match and that they made requests to the referees to have the match suspended.

Stating that the fourth official said there was no situation to suspend the match, Kartal said, "Abdullah Avcı must be wondering, let him know the truth. He came up to me in the tunnel at halftime and said, 'İsmail, coach, tell some players not to look at the stands while warming up, they are provoking them. I would appreciate it if you warn them, let's not let the atmosphere get tense.'"

Stating that they were subjected to a barrage of water bottles and a flare attack from the stands in the second half of the match, Kartal said, "In the end, while there were flares thrown before the goal, the referees didn't even have the pitch cleared, and we conceded the goal."

Explaining that Osayi was knocked unconscious after being hit in the head during the brawl at the end of the match, Kartal said, "I was waiting for the players at the corner of the tunnel. Osayi came and someone hit him. He hit his head against the wall and lost consciousness."

Stating that the players were upset after the events and asked, "Why do other teams treat us like this?", Kartal said, "Everything has become clear after this match."

"LET THEM COME NOW"

Kartal said, "Let there be foreign referees. I have always supported the referees. After the Pendikspor match, I said, 'Call what you see, be fair to everyone,' and they referred me to the PFDK (Professional Football Discipline Committee) so that I would be punished. I didn't accuse anyone, I didn't insult anyone. Others say all sorts of things, and nothing happens. I spoke in defense of the referees and was referred to the PFDK. I cannot believe these things. After seeing all this, I want there to be foreign referees now, let them come."
