Ismail Kartal's statement on Dzeko: It was more correct

Fenerbahçe Manager İsmail Kartal spoke after the 2-1 victory over Beşiktaş in the derby. The experienced coach explained his reasoning for choosing Batshuayi.

İsmail Kartal's statements are as follows:

''We went into today's match to win; we had prepared well. We started the match very well. My players did everything I asked of them very well. In the first 15-20 minutes, we had 3-4 clear-cut chances. We started with high tempo, great enthusiasm, and high energy. This performance of ours motivated the stands. They supported us very well too. The opponent was reduced to 10 men in the 25th minute, and we found a goal in the 30th. After the goal, the opposing team sat back, our game dropped in terms of productivity, and there were fewer chances. The first half ended 1-0. At halftime, I said that 1-0 would not be enough and that we needed to find 2, 3, or 4 goals. We mentioned in the dressing room that Beşiktaş had left here with points in the past despite being down to 10 men. We found the second goal; it could have been 3-4. There were clear chances. It ended 2-1 with Cenk's goal. We knew how to win. We are continuing on our path. We are sad for İsmail. He has an injury to his foot. He made a forced substitution. Our medical team is working on it. We will learn the results from the medical team tomorrow. There is nothing certain at the moment."
