İstanbulspor Club has issued a statement regarding the health status of 19-year-old Gambian footballer Elvin Mendy, who was hospitalized after falling ill following the Manisa FK match.
According to the information provided by the club, Mendy experienced chest pain and shortness of breath while on the team bus. The young footballer was taken to the Kırkağaç State Hospital Emergency Department as a precautionary measure.
Following initial checks and clinical findings, and due to the suspicion of a heart attack, Mendy was transferred to Manisa City Hospital for detailed examinations and tests. The footballer underwent an angiography there.
"As a result of the angiography performed at Manisa City Hospital, it was determined that there were no issues with his coronary arteries and no heart-related health problems. Our player is in good health, and the follow-up process continues after the necessary checks."
The yellow-and-black club informed the public and extended their best wishes for a speedy recovery to Elvin Mendy.
