İbrahim Seten from the 343 Digital channel recounted his conversation with Serhat Akın:

“I asked Serhat Akın, ‘It is being talked about that you received 100 thousand dollars from Ali Koç; is there any truth to this?’ He took a breath. He said, ‘I will tell you the matter exactly as it is.’ The Ali Koç – Serhat Akın relationship dates back 7 years.

Serhat Akın supported Ali Koç heavily during the election period. A warm relationship formed between them."

He opened a cafe and went bankrupt

"Serhat Akın opened a cafe in İzmir. Two weeks after opening the cafe, the pandemic began, and Serhat Akın went bankrupt. Ali Koç sent Serhat Akın 300 thousand liras. At that time, it was equivalent to 40-50 thousand dollars.

Serhat Akın was not working as a commentator at that time. From Serhat Akın's perspective, there is no issue here.

He did not pay the money back
