It was claimed that Ali Koç made threats: Lightning-fast response from Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe Club has issued a second statement regarding the "threat" allegations made by Volunteers Association President Emrah Tünay against President Ali Koç. The club stated that portraying the visit in question as a "raid" does not reflect the truth and expressed that there is an attempt to manipulate public opinion.

“NO NEGATIVE INCIDENTS OCCURRED DURING THE VISIT”

The statement noted that the visit Ali Koç paid to the association took place in a completely transparent, calm, and open environment. It was emphasized that Association President Emrah Tünay and those accompanying him saw Ali Koç off to the building's entrance. The club also reported that no arguments or tension occurred during the visit.

The statement from Fenerbahçe Club regarding the allegations of Fenerbahçe Volunteers Association President Emrah Tünay is as follows: 

"We issued a statement last night after the visit our President, Mr. Ali Y. Koç, and our executives paid to the Fenerbahçe Volunteers Association, located across from our stadium, was portrayed to the public as a “raid.” However, today, a need has arisen to inform the public once again due to the manipulative statement made by Fenerbahçe Volunteers Association President Emrah Tünay regarding the matter.

First of all, we would like to state that these allegations, which aim to mislead the public and target our Club President, have no basis in reality. Our President's visit in question took place in an extremely calm, open, and transparent manner, without giving rise to any provocation. No negative incidents occurred during the visit; in fact, Emrah Tünay and the executives accompanying him saw our President off to the door of the association building.

During the visit, information that reached us regarding some signatures that should have been obtained in the presence of a notary being obtained when no notary was present and subsequently certified was shared with Emrah Tünay. Our President stated that if these allegations were true, it would be an clearly unlawful act, and if determined to be so, both the relevant notary and the individuals mediating this would have to be held accountable before the law.

According to information that reached our club and was also shared with the Istanbul Police Department, serious intelligence was received that provocative actions were being planned in front of the Fenerbahçe Volunteers Association before the match, and that there could be attempts to attack some groups preparing to protest our club's management. This information was also shared with Emrah Tünay. All other allegations brought to the agenda besides these are baseless, unfounded, and do not reflect the truth.

It is extremely ironic, even tragicomic, for an association that has not taken part in any of our club's processes or provided support throughout its tenure to distort our Club President's visit today, while also emphasizing that they had never been visited before."
