Nordsjaelland manager Johannes Hoff Thorup said they will face a difficult match as they host Fenerbahçe tomorrow in the fifth match of Group H in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Speaking at the press conference held at Right to Dream Park, where the match will take place, and which was also attended by team captain Kian Hansen, Thorup stated that they would do their best against Fenerbahçe.
Expressing that they have learned lessons from the first match played in Istanbul and will take the field accordingly, Thorup said, "Tomorrow's match will be difficult for us."
Emphasizing that they still have a chance in the group and aim to make good use of it in the remaining 2 important matches, Thorup underlined that they want to get a good result against their opponent.
Responding to a question about weather conditions and snowfall, the Danish manager continued as follows:
"If it were up to me, I wouldn't prefer cold weather. Many of the players on the team are not Danish. Therefore, cold weather and snowfall are not an advantage for us."
Emphasizing that they have played in big matches to date but that the Fenerbahçe encounter is an even bigger challenge, Thorup concluded his words as follows:
"There is great interest from the fans in the match, and for this reason, the match becomes even more important. We have prepared well and we want to get a win. It will be a difficult match for both sides. It will be a nice and interesting match for all of us. We will all see what happens."
