Jose Mourinho's remarks on Fenerbahçe and Diogo Jota

Fenerbahçe’s world-renowned manager Jose Mourinho was spotted on the racetrack instead of the football pitch this time. The Portuguese coach attended the prestigious Formula 1 Grand Prix held in England, experiencing the excitement of Silverstone in person.

Speaking to beIN SPORTS on race day, Mourinho explained that his visit to Silverstone has become a tradition for him. “I come here often because it usually coincides with the last days of my vacation, so I am able to come here. Let me say it again, I love Formula 1, but I also love learning new things. It is great to meet new people, team principals, and drivers. At the same time, we exchange ideas and I look to see if there are things like leadership that you can transfer from sport to sport,” he said, expressing his interest in motorsports.

Answering questions about his future at Fenerbahçe, the experienced manager gave hopeful messages regarding the yellow-navy team's Champions League journey. “We will wait and see. We have a Champions League qualifier to play at the beginning of August. Of course, they are tough opponents, but we will try to get into the Champions League; this is, of course, the biggest dream of the entire team,” he said, underlining their goals.

Mourinho also used emotional expressions regarding the death of footballer Diogo Jota, who passed away recently. Stating that he knew Jota closely, Mourinho said, “Diogo was truly a very good family man. We worked with the same agent, so I knew him closely. That is why I know a lot about him. Everyone loved him, not just because he was a great player, but also because he was a great person. That is why it is very sad.”
