Kayserispor President Ali Çamlı: There is no transfer ban!

Kayserispor President Ali Çamlı said that the "indefinite" transfer ban imposed on the yellow-red club by FIFA has been misunderstood by the public.

In his statement, Çamlı noted that Kayserispor has gone through very serious crises since the day they took office, and emphasized that they have overcome many difficulties, both financial and moral, to ensure the continuity of the club. Çamlı said, "Because Kayserispor has dealt with such issues recently, our fans get anxious even at the smallest piece of news. That is why sentences that could lead to different interpretations should not be used when reporting news."

THERE IS A MISUNDERSTANDING

Stating that the issue of the "indefinite" transfer ban has been misinterpreted by the public, Çamlı noted the following:

"There is no such thing as a transfer ban in FIFA's decision. The issue we are dealing with is a 14 thousand euro payment demanded by a management agency due to a case heard at CAS. From the phrase 'indefinite transfer ban,' our fans understand that Kayserispor's transfer window will be permanently closed from now on, but that is not the case. An indefinite transfer ban means that the ban is lifted the moment the payment in question is made. That is how the legal process works. The truly problematic process is fixed-term bans. Fixed-term bans mean that you cannot make transfers even if you make the payment during the period specified by the ban."

Çamlı also stated that FIFA has not yet sent any notification to the club regarding the payment of the 14 thousand euros in question.

Pointing out that the payment will be made as soon as the notification reaches them, Çamlı said:

"The point Kayserispor has reached is clear; we have made the club sustainable both sportingly and economically. We plan to hand over the club with a clean slate. Kayserispor fans should not worry. Kayserispor currently has two files. One is the Manuel Fernandes file and the other is the Harrison Manzala file. There is no transfer ban regarding these at the moment either. We are already planning to resolve this by talking to the players and reaching a mutual agreement before it reaches the stage of a ban."
