Former Galatasaray Sports Inc. Deputy Chairman Erden Timur made striking statements during a live broadcast.
When asked on the TV100 program, "You said that Lale Orta provided information to Ali Koç. Where did this information come from?" Timur had stated, "There are people who say stop to wrongdoing. An MHK president explaining themselves to a club president... No one can say that I have done this, for example."
Lale Orta's response to Timur's words was not long in coming. Speaking on TV100, Orta's statement is as follows:
"I neither sent any footage to Ali Koç nor did I have him watch any. These are all lies. I did not send any footage to any club.
I did not resign. My term expired, an election was held, and someone else was appointed. Regarding the Donk incident and other positions, I shared my view with the broadcaster that the public should be informed by showing the positions from every angle. I did not pressure anyone.
Erden Timur received a reprimand from the Ethics Committee. He appealed the decision to the Arbitration Board. The Arbitration Board upheld the decision. If he had evidence in his hand, why couldn't he present it to both the Arbitration Board and the Ethics Committee?"
There is not a single stain on my record, neither during my refereeing career nor my presidency of the Central Referee Board. My expectation is for everyone to act ethically."
