Lyon Manager Fonseca on Fenerbahçe: 'They are on another level'

Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca made notable remarks about Fenerbahçe after his team was drawn against them in the UEFA Champions League play-off round.

Under the management of İsmail Kartal, Fenerbahçe secured their spot in the play-offs by defeating Sturm Graz in both legs of the third qualifying round. The yellow-navy team advanced after winning 2-0 at home in Kadıköy and 1-0 in the away leg.

Fenerbahçe's opponent in the play-off round is the French side Lyon. Speaking after the draw, Lyon manager Paulo Fonseca emphasized the squad quality of Fenerbahçe.

The first leg of the play-off round between Fenerbahçe and Lyon will be played on Tuesday, August 18, at 22:00 at Chobani Stadium. The return leg will take place in France on Wednesday, August 26, at 22:00 Turkish time.

If the yellow-navy team overcomes the Lyon hurdle, they will achieve their goal of reaching the league phase of the Champions League.
