Manchester City and Fluminense faced off in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup final.
While the English side won the match 4-0, the pitch turned chaotic after the final whistle.
MELO STIRS UP TROUBLE
Felipe Melo, who once played for Galatasaray in Turkey, walked toward Jack Grealish as soon as the match ended. Kyle Walker then intervened.
After the shoving match between Kyle Walker and Felipe Melo, tensions subsided as other players stepped in.
"GREALISH DISRESPECTED FLUMINENSE"
Stating in his explanation that Grealish had disrespected Fluminense, Melo said, "There were idiots saying I stirred up trouble at the end of the match. Grealish disrespected Fluminense today. A player on the pitch cannot chant 'ole'. Fans in the stands do that, but as a player, you have to respect clubs. I won't allow that."
Claiming that Grealish shouted "ole" on the pitch, Felipe Melo added, "At the end of the match, he was shouting 'ole'. That is for the fans; fans can shout 'ole'."
"I DIDN'T SAY OLE EVEN ONCE"
Defending himself, Grealish posted, "I didn't say ole even once."
