Manchester United, Athletic Bilbao, Tottenham, and Bodo/Glimt advance to the semi-finals

The second leg matches of the quarter-finals in the UEFA Europa League, the second-tier club competition in European football, have concluded.

In a night of non-stop excitement, Manchester United hosted Olympique Lyonnais. The hosts finished the first half with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Manuel Ugarte in the 10th minute and Diogo Dalot in the 45+1st minute.

Lyon responded to their opponent with goals from Corentin Tolisso in the 71st minute and Nicolas Tagliafico in the 78th minute, bringing the score to 2-2. The 90 minutes of regulation time in the second leg ended 2-2, just like the first match, and the game went to extra time.

Despite being reduced to 10 men after Tolisso received a red card in the 89th minute, Lyon managed to take a 4-2 lead with goals from Rayan Cherki in the 105th minute and Alexandre Lacazette (from a penalty) in the 110th minute.

Manchester United, managing a comeback in a match that will be remembered for years, secured a 5-4 victory with goals from Bruno Fernandes (from a penalty) in the 114th minute, Kobbie Mainoo in the 120th minute, and Harry Maguire in the 120+1st minute, advancing to the semi-finals.

National goalkeeper Altay Bayındır was among the substitutes for the home side.

Athletic Bilbao advanced by defeating Rangers, where national footballer Rıdvan Yılmaz plays, 2-0 at home. Rıdvan Yılmaz left the game due to injury in the 23rd minute.

Tottenham won 1-0 away against Eintracht Frankfurt and became one of the final 4 teams. National player Can Uzun entered the game in the 58th minute for the hosts.

In the semi-finals, Athletic Bilbao will face Manchester United, and Tottenham will face Bodo/Glimt.

The semi-final matches in the league will be played on May 1 and May 8.
