Markus Gisdol's comments on Uğurcan: It wasn't pleasant

Samsunspor manager Markus Gisdol made statements following the 3-1 victory against Trabzonspor. Gisdol also touched upon the gesture Uğurcan Çakır made toward him after the match.

GISDOL'S RESPONSE REGARDING UĞURCAN ÇAKIR

Responding to the question, "Uğurcan Çakır made a gesture toward you at the end of the match. Did something happen between you?" Gisdol said, "Honestly, it wasn't a very pleasant thing, but it is better if this stays on the pitch."

Stating that they are happy to have won, Samsunspor manager Markus Gisdol said, “I am sure that today everyone has understood better why I love this team and these fans so much. Today, we showed an incredible unity on the pitch together. Tactically, we played a good match in both the first and second halves. We played against a very tough opponent. Getting this victory was very special. We had determined our tactics before the match. Tactically, we were not going to give the opponent any chances. That was our plan. We did this very well. We didn't let the opponent breathe with our pressure. We told our players that the runs they would make today were very important. They fulfilled this in an incredible way. They did it very well. As a team, not just the starting 11, but those who came off the bench also performed very well. We are very happy that we won.”

WE HAVE TAKEN A VERY BIG STEP

Stating that they will play with the same concentration and desire until the last match of the league, Gisdol said, “I am not a math teacher. I don't want to deal with numbers too much. If you tell me ‘we have completely stayed in the league,’ then I will believe it 100 percent. With today's victory, we have taken a very big step. If some people had told us that we would reach 43 points before the end of the league, no one would have believed it. We will play until our last match with the same concentration, desire, and ambition.”
