The match schedule for the historic tournament, which will feature 48 teams, has been finalized. The massive event, in which Turkey will also take the field, will meet football fans in 16 different stadiums across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where 48 countries will compete for the first time, just around the corner, the match schedule that football fans have been eagerly awaiting has been announced. The event will kick off with the opening match in Mexico City on Thursday evening, June 11.
After six weeks of excitement, the greatest in football will be determined by the final at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19. The two teams that reach the final in this massive arena with a capacity of 82,500 will compete to etch their names into football history.
FIFA aims to generate revenue reaching 11 billion dollars in the tournament, where 104 matches will be played. A significant portion of the matches—a total of 78 games—will be played in stadiums in the USA. Mexico and Canada will host the remaining matches.
Within the scope of this grand football feast, 16 separate stadiums will host fans. While the Dallas Stadium will be the most crowded arena with a capacity of 94,000 spectators, the stadium in Toronto will be the smallest platform with a capacity of 45,000.
The tournament stands out with 104 matches to be played across four different time zones. Following the 7 billion dollars in revenue generated in the 2022 event in Qatar, the new format is expected to break FIFA's revenue record.
TURKEY TAKES THE FIELD
Our A National Football Team is also among the countries that will participate in the event. Fans will watch Turkey play its first match in the group stage against Australia at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on Sunday, June 14. Our team will play important matches in its group and will face a critical challenge against Paraguay at the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium on June 20. The final test in the group stages will be against the host, the USA, in Los Angeles on June 26.
72 MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED
In this year's tournament, a total of 72 matches will be played in the group stage. The remaining 32 matches will take place in the knockout rounds. Each group will spread the football enthusiasm across the continent with teams competing in different cities and stadiums.
