Maximin: They tried to dope me at Fenerbahçe

Allan Saint-Maximin, who played on loan at Fenerbahçe, admitted that there was an attempt to dope him at the yellow-navy club.

Speaking to Zack Nani, the French player claimed that they tried to dope him at Fenerbahçe.

'THEY ARE THREATENING'

Stating that he was subjected to threats, according to Nafi Alpay's translation, Maximin said, “The reason Fenerbahçe could not become champion was that the club's environment was surrounded by non-football factors. At one point, they even tried to dope me. People don't know these things. You cannot talk about these things openly because they threaten you. If you talk, they say, ‘we will do this and that to you.’ Sometimes you find yourself in issues that go beyond football.”

Giving details about the doping issue, the French star said, “Mourinho did everything he could to become champion. I came to be a champion. However, there are so many problematic things around the club... To give an example, it reached such a point that they even tried to dope me there.”
